This topic was chosen by our fifth grade Banana Splits group for the student blog. During group, we talked about the many features that make our families unique. We discussed how some of our families are multi-racial, some of us have different heritages and backgrounds, and that all kids are different, which is okay because that makes us special.

You are all invited to share thoughts about how your family is different and blog about what makes them special. Everyone is encouraged to explore their heritage and background with their parents and/or other family members and comment about what they learned.
*Please note that we will be unable to publish comments from students that have not returned a signed permission slip stating that they are allowed to participate in the website.

Ms. Hodom what Raol meant is that the instructions trail off, appears words are missing. Also, where would he write his actual response to the topic...in this comment box?

Yes, responses to the topic can be posted using the comment box feature. Students may choose to comment on the blog topic, or respond to a comment that another student has left. All comments will be approved by Mrs. Hodom before they are published on the website, but please note that we will be unable to publish comments from students whose permission slips have not been returned. Next month, the fourth graders will be deciding on a blog topic. Stay tuned!
